The University of Louisville will host this year’s 8th Annual Gathering of the Kentucky Auxiliary Services Association (KASA). The conference will be held on the University’s main location, the 287-acre Belknap campus, on May 16-17. As a sponsor of this year’s gathering, Barnes & Noble College looks forward to helping the ‘U of L’ campus community extend its hospitality, and make KASA members feel right at home.
KASA’s yearly summit enables association members and business partners to come together to share best practices and explore some of the state’s best colleges and universities. In addition to educational sessions and campus tours, attendees enjoy opportunities to foster and expand their professional networks while enjoying local sites and customs. This year’s social highlights will include a reception in the luxury club overlooking the football field of the University’s Cardinal Stadium, as well as an afternoon of live racing at the home of the Kentucky Derby, Churchill Downs.
A University of Louisville partner since 2001, Barnes & Noble College is proud to participate in this year’s Annual KASA Gathering. University of Louisville Bookstore Manager Scott Schuknecht eagerly anticipates KASA’s arrival, stating, “We’re very excited to help host the KASA Conference and welcome all attendees to U of L.” On Friday morning, Schuknecht will offer tours of the bookstore, located in Belknap’s thriving Student Activities Center. Following the tours, Schuknecht, who has managed the University of Louisville Bookstore since 2004, will discuss the store’s latest initiatives and share insights with the group. “I am very much looking forward to the upcoming tours as a way to showcase our store, programs and exceptional team,” said Schuknecht.
Bookstore visitors will also learn how Barnes & Noble College is delivering the GenNext experience by providing an unmatched retail and digital learning experience to campuses nationwide. KASA members who tour the store will enjoy gifts and giveaways, and may enter to win an award-winning NOOK HD Tablet with thousands of apps, games, movies and songs now available through GooglePlay™.
