Barnes & Noble College is partnering with Havaianas for its first ever Foursquare™ promotion. Beginning February 14, students who purchase a pair of Havaianas flip-flops and “check-in” to the bookstore on Foursquare will receive a free USB drive, while supplies last.
We are expanding our social media marketing to include Foursquare because of its unique ability to attract customers to brick-and-mortar retail locations. Here’s how it works: Using the Foursquare app on their cell phones, customers register, or check-in, when they arrive at their retail destination. Once they check-in, they often “unlock” specials for that location or reap other rewards. The Havaianas promotion is happening at 20 of our campus bookstores including Sam Houston State University, Mississippi State and the University of Central Florida.
Founded in1962 in Brazil, Havaianas designs the must-have, rubber, flip-flops favored by celebrities including Gwen Stefani, Kate Hudson, and Jennifer Anniston. Flip-flops come in over 250 different styles in a rainbow of colors and designs and are carried in almost 100 of our campus bookstores.
