The Boston University Bookstore got a little motley on May 6 when Nikki Sixx arrived to sign copies of his latest book, “This Is Gonna Hurt: Music, Photography And Life Through The Distorted Lens Of Nikki Sixx,” which debuted at number four on The New York Times best-seller list.
The former Mötley Crüe bassist stopped in Boston at the tail-end of his 11-city CD/book-signing tour to promote his new book and record album. The 700-plus fans waited in lines that stretched over three levels of the bookstore – some waiting up to four hours for a chance to meet the rock star, and they were not disappointed. Sixx signed copies of his book, t-shirts, photos, as well as fan’s arms, legs and shoulders – some fans proudly showed off their own Nikki Sixx and Mötley Crüe tattoos to the musician. Talk about true fans!
The bookstore sold over 65 copies of his new CD and over 300 copies of his book.
