Barnes & Noble Welcomes Walla Walla University

June 27, 2011

Barnes & Noble College is pleased to announce our new partnership with Walla Walla University. The four-year institution is located on 55 beautiful acres in the town of College Place, Washington, just outside of Walla Walla, and offers more than 100 areas of study in liberal arts, professional, and technical programs. We’ll begin operating the new University Shop bookstore in mid-July.

Founded in 1892, the private university has an enrollment of 1,800 undergraduate and graduate students of diverse backgrounds and is affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church; just one of 14 colleges and universities operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the United States.

The University offers six bachelor’s degrees in 36 areas of study, five master’s degrees, and an associate of science degree. It also operates a 45-acre marine station on Fidalgo Island, near Anacortes, Washington; a nursing campus in Portland, Oregon; and masters of social work programs in Missoula and Billings, Montana.

Nationwide, Barnes & Noble College operates more than 630 college and university bookstores across the country, with 11 in the state of Washington, including Seattle Pacific University and Washington State University. We have the experience, resources and track record to provide the best products and customer service, and deliver the future of education content delivery.
