May 09, 2011

Central Piedmont Community CollegeBarnes & Noble College is pleased to announce that we have entered into a 10-year contract with Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) to manage their bookstores, beginning June 27. CPCC is North Carolina’s largest Community College and part of the statewide North Carolina Community College System. Serving students on six campuses across the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region, as well as online offerings, CPCC has educational options as diverse as the student community they serve.

Founded in 1963, CPCC is the result of a merger between Mecklenburg College and the Central Industrial Education Center. The school has grown from a small college with a few dozen programs serving 1,600 students to one with over 100 degree, diploma, and certificate programs serving over 70,000 students in an array of credit and noncredit offerings.

Barnes & Noble College operates more than 630 college and university bookstores across the country, with 18 in the state of North Carolina, including CPCC.
