College coeds have long loved the stylish quilted Vera Bradley line of bags and accessories. Now, they can also bring that same chic style to their dorm rooms. Beginning this fall, students can curl up with their favorite patterns and signature colors from the new Vera Bradley dorm collection.
The new line, which includes reversible comforters, sheets, shams, towels, pillows and more, will be offered in two new patterns – Paisley Meets Plaid and Indigo Pop – in select Barnes & Noble College bookstores this fall.
“We are testing this new line at eight locations that have done very well with the Vera Bradley line,” says Lisa Mazzio, Director of Merchandise for Barnes & Noble College. “If the dorm line does well, we have plans to expand it into more schools.”
The pretty and practical line has been popular with students who love the brightly colored and feminine patterns. The tote bags, duffels, ID wristlets and planners are sized to fit college IDs and cell phones as well as laptops and books, and have all been best sellers in Barnes & Noble College bookstores.
“We’ve carried the Vera Bradley line for many years and it has always been a top seller for us,” says Mazzio. “We sell out of the pocket planners and agendas every school year. Even in this age of digital calendars, our students still want the planners they can write in and carry to class.”
By leveraging both student insight and partnerships with national brands, like Vera Bradley, Barnes & Noble is able to bring campuses the products and services that students want and need most – and that means more than just textbooks. By keeping their finger on the pulse of the latest trends and purchasing patterns, Barnes & Noble offers all the essentials that students need to outfit their dorms and be prepared for classes.
