The Barnes & Noble Yale Bookstore was delighted to welcome back best-selling author Jodi Picoult to its campus on March 27. There to read and sign copies of her latest book, Sing You Home, which debuted at number one on the New York Times Best Seller list, Picoult had another reason to visit the campus – her son. Picoult’s son Kyle, whom the book is dedicated to, is a sophomore at Yale University.
The event, which was held in the Sheffield-Sterling-Strathcona Hall, also featured a musical performance by Ellen Wilber, whose CD is included in the book. The music was written by Wilber with lyrics by Picoult.
The author first made an appearance at the Yale bookstore in April 2010 to promote and sign copies of her book, House Rules. “People like meeting best-selling authors in our stores,” said Book Events Coordinator Jeff Penque. “Hosting events like this is a great way to bring together the students and community at large.”
Barnes & Noble College brings excitement and energy to our bookstores by engaging our campus communities with a broad range of events including, captivating author signings, faculty presentations, celebrity appearances, and social media promotions. These events help make the bookstore an essential element of campus life.
